*[[ thoughts ]]*

hm so many things have been happening that I can't keep track anymore. In fact, I'm already finding much difficulty in trying to catch up with my "new self". Feels as though I'm going through an identity crisis. =X Seriously, I haven't been myself at all since the start of the year. All of a sudden I find myself being so much more enthusiastic compared to my rather passive self last year. Or maybe all along I had in me this hidden burst of energy that finally emerged this year. haha. Hopefully Jason's optimistic attitude will rub off me and I won't revert back to my pessimistic and paranoid ways.

Anyway I duno why Yi Da added me online. Rather amusing coz Lim Mian and I did Chi SIA on him last year LOL. One weird thing is that Yi Da himself doesn't know why he added me -_-" k but no harm knowing more people. It's nice talking to him and sharing views about our ambitions, etc. and I've finally found someone whom I can ask for help for volunteer projects, etc. heh.

Thanks David for talking to me when I was feeling rather depressed...Guess my mind was so messed up at that time I didn't know what to think or how to think. Really glad that you were there to lend a listening ear haha. Ya I should follow what the para says below:
Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. - Steve Jobs
yay anyway our OG rocks. Glad that there're still people from my OG that I can rely on for support. Lynnette's joining choir! YAY! Congratulations on getting past the auditions! haha =) Can't wait to see you during choir practices! =)

Anyway I've been thinking about my ambitions... Remember what I said last time about being a researcher but wanting to be involved in volunteer work as well? Think I've finally got a clear vision of being a doctor in Africa, probably specialised in taking care of children patients... I don't know why Africa. Maybe I'm inspired by the Watoto Choir that came to NY to sing last year just a few days before the HCL 'O'-levels. Their spirit is just amazing. Every child in the choir had either lost one or both parents, mainly due to AIDS. Yet, you will never be able to tell that by looking at them. Just look at the amount of energy that they put in to sing. You can just feel the passion for singing in them. There was also that strong sense of pride that they wanted to show to the world... I really admire their attitudes very very much. NO S'pore choir can compare to them. Seriously...Everytime we are asked to perform, we would do it half-heartedly and get embarrassed when asked to do actions, etc. even when in a big group. But these African children will grab any opportunity to speak boldly in front of a large group of strangers, tell their life story, state their ambitions, etc. though they may merely be at ages of 7 - 9. ok I think I'm a bit out of point but anyway what I wanna say is that these little children have definitely inspired me very much and taught me about what genuine passion really is.... (to be continued/4 hrs of sleep left)
